I came to Canada from Germany in 1981.The granddaughter of famous German artist Karl Erich Von Vegesack. His paintings were selected for 15 years in a row to be shown in the Munich House of Art I learned to paint from my grandfather who lived with us while I was growing up. He taught everything there was to know about painting and how to mix paints. He took me out every day at 6 am to paint in the forest where they painted nature and by going out at the same time every day they would be getting the same light.  He was a very good teacher but everything had to be perfect. I will tell you the story of when I was in school I would do paintings for the other students in my class that weren’t as good at painting as mine, doing them in different styles so the teacher wouldn’t know they were all hers. I got great enjoyment out of listening to the teacher compare the different styles of different students knowing all the while that they were all hers.

I  have always had a great love for horses and while still in Germany spent all the time I could around them. I worked with and was trained by some of the top people in Germany. I am breeder and trainer. I competed at a very high level of Dressage in Germany.  After coming to Canada in 1981 I carried on both of my  passions, horses and painting.
